Embroidered Cards
Hey I made some great cards for my dad.

One is for his birthday and one is for Father’s day. They’re fun and easy to make.
What you need:
- Lightbox
- Blue masking tape (so it doesn’t tear the paper)
- Card Stock
- Construction Paper
- Embroidery Thread
- Pencil
- Embroidery Needle

First print out a picture. I put mine in Word and then printed it.

Then put it on a light box and lightly trace it onto the card.

When you’re done poke holes in the card with a needle so it’s easier to embroider. I did this by putting my card on an old towel and poking through with the needle so it wouldn’t scratch up mom’s new countertop. (She might get mad if I scratch it!)

Pick out the thread and begin to embroider the card. I used the backstitch, but you could use any stitch that you are comfortable with. I also used Pearl Cotton thread instead of DMC. It’s thicker and I only used one strand. I really like how it turned out.

When you’re done cut out some construction paper and glue it onto the back of what you embroidered. This hides any knots or craziness that may have happened.

Then take a sharpie or another marker and write any words or sayings on the front of the card. Sometimes just the embroidery will speak for itself. Get creative!
Lastly write a nice little note on the card. My favorite one I’ve done so far was the Batman card for my dad’s birthday. I put “You are my favorite Dark Knight.” He really liked it alot!
( Tip: Make sure the card is right side up when you embroider your design or else the person who give it to might have to rotate the card a couple of times to figure out how to open it! Learn from my mistakes… LOL.)

See ya til next post!

Weepul Invasion
Aaawww! It’s an attack of the cute furry creatures that go by the name of weepuls! They are cheap and easy to make. I made them in 15 minutes altogether. All you have to do is follow the instructions on Zakka Life to have these intergalactic spaceballs come visit you.

Here are all the cute feet for the weepuls!

So easy to attach with hot glue. Be careful not to burn yourself!

The gnome is from a traveling gnome swap my mom is doing. I think the weepuls made a new friend.
